I highly recommend the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex soundtracks that are coming with the DVDs... I must have listened to each of those a good 30 times in my car. Catchy tunes by Yoko Kanno

Kevin: Haaa that's too funny... I had no idea Najica came with panties, that's just great. I should have bought that one hehe. I think size problems might be why they don't seem to pack shirts as often as they used to. Of course they would stop doing it after I get into buying anime now and then. Boohiss. If I had known WHR came with a shirt packin I would have collected it! aH I'm pathetic.
Tony: That was on Fruits Basket. Which volume I'm not sure. Now I'm not even sure it WAS FB but I think it was... really interesting stuff though since she said the people that were actually protesting (I think it was the death penalty in Texas) actually turned on them. Moore and his cronies had this scoreboard keeping track of the deaths, etc. and both groups of real protestors turned on the fake ones. The voice actress was one of the cheerleaders (yes they had a cheerleading squad out there, lol). Good stuff. I think this was for the show Moore did before The Awful Truth, which I can't remember the name of right now and have never seen anyway...

Kevin,
Fansubs defiitely help me decide what to purchase, of course sometimes they don't. One such series is called Daphne in the Brilliant Blue, which I really don't like. But the announcement of the licensing by ADV caused Lunar to stop subbing it. So I'll have to buy it to see the end hehe. There are some really great series for the summer to, Wind: A Breath of Heart seems to be pretty good. DearS is supposed to be good but I haven't started downloading it yet.
All,
Well I am having lots of trouble picking up .hack//sign vol 4. It has been on backorder at ddd.com since their 20% off sale and I am getting a bit sick of waiting. The problem is no stores around here have the title and all the online stores that do are around 26 dollars when i paid 15 shipped at ddd.com.
Anyone who bought Sailor Moon S boxset,
What are the language tracks on this set?
Mike

Andy:
Yes, it is .
Kevin:
Fansubs don't really influence my purchasing decisions at all, really, since I don't watch them very often. Trailers, reviews, and word-of-mouth on this list are my usual helpers.
All:
I had a marathon anime day, so to speak. I watched all five disks of DNA^2 today, to begin with. A fun little show, it's got a bit of action and sci-fi, with a heaping serving of humor to go with it. It's a solid 'B', and recommended. I watched a couple of non-anime movies, and finally watched the first two disks of Full Metal Panic.
John.
Most Recent Purchases: The Call of Cthulhu, Count Dracula, The Gravedancers, The Legend of Hell House, Prom Night, Starship Troopers, 28 Weeks Later, Unrest
Currently Collecting: Inu Yasha, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Total DVDs: 1436 Anime DVDs: 776 R2 DVDs: 41 R3 DVDs: 6

Glad you liked it! That is the best anime I have seen. Hell, it made me stop hating anime.

Usually I'll watch the first couple fansubs of a series to decide if I want to buy it before it's licensed. If it's a REALLY good show though, I will continue to watch it and buy the DVDs when it comes out.
Oh, and I think I said something like this a few pages back and no one said anything (maybe no one watches it) and I just got through one of the larger story archs. Naruto (after 91 episodes, as of this week) is my favorite anime of all time. An engaging plot, amazing characterization, music, animation, and character designs... it's got it all! I hate to see what American TV will turn this into (it's a bit high on blood, there are on-screen deaths, and there's sexual content [Naruto's "SEXY NO JUTSU" move]). I intend to buy every DVD put out (as long as it's uncut japanese w/ english subs).
I highly suggest checking it out if you are adept in downloading fansubs ANBU/AonE has batches of 10 episodes each that are rather easy to download

IIRC, it's just an abridged version of the series (ALA: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death)
