Dynasty Warriors rocks. I have DW4 on the PS2 and it is ALOT of fun especially two player split screen. Too bad the frame rate is super jacked and too much stuff on the screen at once threatens to make you lose your lunch. I hope they do a DW5 for the Xbox and clean up the framerate chugging problems.

And you are sooo right about MMORPGs which is why I haven't really gotten back into FFXI in a week or two, just haven't had the time. But there's time for other stuff so.... oh well ?

He he, Dynasty Warriors 3 (along with Devil May Cry) was indoubtably part of the factors leading to my tendonitis last year (along with too much keyboard time at work). Dynasty Warriors is one of the few co-op games I found I could actually play by myself and enjoy, too!

Oh gawd, Devil May Cry, I LOVED this game but stupid me loaned it out and the idiot that borrowed it "lost it" and can't replace it (his girlfriend is attempting to repopulate the world and let the government pay for it). Its a great game though, for what it is. Rygar rocks too... and as a side note, I'm never lending games out again!

I agree, Osaka is great.

I also agree. Chiyo-chan may be cute, but Osaka and Yukari make the damn show.

Alanna, Woo:

Yeah, Devil May Cry is one of my favorite PS2 games. Too bad my save gave files were lost when my first PS2 got stolen a year ago November. I wasn't impressed with DMC2, but DMC3 looks like it'll be worth getting.

John.

Woo:
They have tons of copies of DW4 around here for $29 bucks or thereabouts. Atleast the last time I was in one of the game stores they were loaded down. Used is cheaper by about 5 bucks. The graphics are much prettier than DW2 and its just a kick butt game. Very fluid and well done, you can tell Koei has their shit together with making these things, I just wish they would do more imjprovements like I bitched about before. I'd love a copy of DMC, I think they still have it at Target but I'm not sure. After paying $50 for it the first time around it just kills me to shell out another $20 for the same game. *sighs*

DMC3 looks incredibly sweet, but then again so did the trailers for DMC2 that had Dante flipping around that white room and shooting people up Matrix style. I just hope they get it together this time because its just a seriously cool series and Dante is actually a COOL and HOT male character. I hate the beefy chunk football player looking game characters or the googly eyed stupid dudes. Which is why I usually play as a chick character if possible because they actually LOOK cool.

And who can give up video games? Phew I sure couldn't.

Alanna:

I hope so too. It's been a while since I've gotten a new game for my PS2 (I don't play often enough), but I would pick up DMC3 if it turns out better than DMC2.

All:

Does anyone know about a new anime series called Samurai 7? On my new Rin' CD, there is a song from that show. Thanks!

John.

Devil May Cry would make a cool anime. Empty, but cool

DMC3 is being directed by the DMC1 director again. The environments are better, they're going back to a mix of wide open and tighter fighting spaces. There's different paths/skill paths - gunfighter Dante, martial arts Dante, swordslinger Dante, etc. Skills upgrades mostly follow along your chosen path. (There was a good writeup in PSM last month). Looks bad-ass again. As long as it stays hard. Capcom has been wussifying their games lately.

I wonder why there isn't a DMC anime yet? I mean there's Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, Final Fantasy, freakin' Arc the Lad, and Darkstalkers (still want this one though heh) so why not DMC? It could potentially be so cool. I'm glad the first director is coming back and isn't there supposed to be a chick playable character ? Ahh its all good, I'll be picking this one up probably. I wouldn't even mind getting DMC2 just to check it out.

Buy more games dangit! Growlanser II and III are hitting next month. La Pucelle is out (tactical games rock)! Then again I buy games but never play them so don't listen to me anyway LOL

Heh - I did preorder Growlanser Generations Deluxe edition today from EBGames, oh mistress of anime and video games (yes, that means you, Alanna )

And, I am serious about the offer for DMC. Can't seem to find a used DW4 in my area - if you can get me a copy, I'll get you a copy of DMC.

EDIT - I'll throw in another game as well, if you pay more than 40 for the game NEW. Hell, if you want La Pucelle Tactics, I'll get you that. Just name the game, I'll bite.

No, it's not. IN fact, no one really knows who's directing this game, other than he/she has experience "throwing fireballs." This is straight from the producer's mouth. The cut scenes howver, are being directed by the action director of Versus(not Ryuhei Kitamura), so at least if the game sucks the cut scenes should be great.
