I finished up Hellsing this evening with vols. 3 and 4. This is a great series, and well worth the rewatch. The only thing keeping it from a full 'A' is the fact that it needs 13 more episodes. 'A-', and highly recommended.

You know, I used to laugh at the cosplayers, the SCA medievalists, people dressed up as a Wookie or Harry Potter at the movies, etc. But honestly, now that I'm older, I have the attitude that, I can see how it would be fun, and &*$! anyone who thinks that it looks stupid. And I still laugh at them anyway - just no longer with disdain.

Hey, don't make fun of SCAdians. We have big swords.
Dressing up is a big part of fandom. Hell, there are cons devoted to it (CostumeCon comes to mind.) Going to some big cons (WorldCon), you get amazed at the work that went into some of the costumes.
Personally, I wouldn't mind dressing up, if I actually had some talent making clothing. Course, I could just show up as Lupin III. I even have the sideburns for it.

That's my friend's current girlfriend, her name is Alison, she's 23 years old, and goes to Valencia College here in sunny Orlando.

And I'm sure I'll laugh at myself if Stacey and I ever dress up for a convention. It's good to be able to laugh at yourself.

Damn! Those are some expensive frickin' headphones. If I had that much cash laying around I'd have an SVS! Hope they sound good!

You like the feel of the Pioneers? I can't seem to use anything but the Sennheiser. Plus it just isn't safe wearing circumaural headphones in the hood. Got to be on ya toes. Feel me?
Okay, one more time. Thoughts on Hellsing? Besides JohnAD or are all you all phakers? J/K
Also LAst Exile is tempting me to pull the trigger.

Zen:
Actually, several of our oldest posters are too busy playing Final Fantasy XI to be posting much lately. If you check out the Anime Recommendations (link in Tony's sig), you can find out who also recommends Hellsing. As for Last Exile, start buying it now.
