Finished the third disc of World of Narue tonight. Good stuff, but lots of problems with the video. Kind of disappointing actually, lots of rainbowing and haloing, etc. Ep. 7 was especially bad with the park bench. The whole thing was throwing off rainbows all over the place. UGH!
I've been hearing alot about Kaledio Star. Anyone know if this is worth getting?
Also I'm selling my Steel Angel Kurumi discs. I'd rather have the brick. They are opened but have never been watched or taken out of the cases. I have the whole first season including the Encore disc. If anyone is interested: email me: kittycatgirl2k@hotmail.com After a day or so they are going up on Ebay.

I'm sitting here listening to the Dolby Digital track on Armitage III: PolyMatrix. It's not very impressive, not much better than the matrix surround track if you ask me. Anyone know a good anime DD5.1 track [preferably Japanese]? I'm thinking of Sakura Wars: Goka Kenran, Sol Bianca: The Legacy, or the Japanese 5.1 Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki remix. I know the SB was recommened before, but has anybody listened critically to any of these?

The new Neon Genesis Evangelion 5.1 track on the R2 is AWESOME. Just wait a few months for ADV's version
Spirited Away and Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door had a rather good Japanese 5.1 tracks too, IMHO

I liked the Dolby Digital 5.1 track on the Akira 2-disc edition.

Christopher:
How do you define good? For Japanese 5.1 tracks, movies are probably your best bet, since few OVA or TV series have them. I haven't listened to the Japanese DD 5.1 track, but the DTS 5.1 track for Jin-Roh is just amazing, especially the first 20 minutes or so.
All:
I watched Argentosoma vol. 2 tonight. I'm still liking this series, but since it's been a while since I saw the first volume, it was a little difficult to remember what happened at the end of the previous disk. I'll have to finish this one up quickly, so I can keep it in my head .

Full-range utilisation of the surrounds for more than just the occasional "whizz - bang" effect, is "good" multichannel usage to me.

2-disc is only 5.1 on the stinky dub, although has some good extras... but the 1-disc DTS edition has an INSANELY GOOD Japanese DTS track.

Christopher:
Jin-Roh is a good example, by your definition. In the opening sequence, and lasting ~20 minutes or so, there's a crowd riot, and you really get the feeling you're standing in the middle of a bunch of yelling people.

I really enjoyed Kaledio Star on the Newtype disk in a Angelic Layer sort of way. (girl wants to be superstar, finding your confidence) sort of way. It was pretty good!
I pre-ordered it...but then again, I preorder pretty much everything...lol.
Last count I have 13 series going that I'm collecting right now and about 7-10 starting over the next couple of months! Oh no! I've been taken over by crac...er...anime!

Hi, I'm new to this thread and was wondering if somebody knows who has the rights for the old anime Mazinger Z in R1.
The only sets I seen for sale was on E-bay and but they are Spanish dubbed and looked like VCDs.
ADV released the Mazinkaiser Volume I and II which is the new anime from Go Nagai based upon the Mazinger Z history but I'm looking for the classic episodes of the 70's.
BTW, I'm here in Canada and any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
