Kim Edwards’ novel The Memory Keeper’s Daughter simultaneously reached #1 on The New York Times, USA Today, Publisher’s Weekly and Book Sense’s Best Seller lists within weeks of its publication, and remained on those lists for well over a year. The birth of a child should be the happiest moment in a couple's life. But when Dr. David Henry’s (Mulroney) wife Norah (Mol) has twins, one of whom has Down syndrome, he makes the difficult decision to send one of his babies away. The attending nurse (Watson) discovers his plan and intervenes, putting into motion events that will haunt the doctor, his wife and his son for the next 20 years.
The Memory Keeper’s Daughter premiered April 12, 2008 on Lifetime TV and was the most watched show on cable the week it aired.
