Don't give them any ideas. I think/hope it'll be like The Sopranos DVDs- the MSRP will be the same for all the sets whether there's twenty four episodes or fourteen episodes.

If we don't like it, we don't buy it or wait for a special sale at Christmas time.

Just had that with "The Office". All 3 seasons are $20. Season 1 is one disk, barely more than two hours long, compared to the multi disks of the other two.

Not that it makes a difference on the gouge, but I read somewhere (AICN maybe?) that they MIGHT be managing a 15th episode in season 4.

Still an epic overpricing though.

I think you may be misremembering that. They used to say after the strike that there'd be 13 episodes this season, then it changed to "maybe" 14 (and AICN did report that) and of course that ultimately did end up happening.

The first four and the last episodes of S4 were double length so they made 19 episodes.

How were the first four "double length"?
Also, episodes 13 and 14 combined comprise the double length finale.

They made 14 episodes. No more, no less.

You're correct. I thought that Bonedwarf was talking off topic about the fourth season of The Office (since the previous paragraph was talking about that show) but re-reading his post, he wasn't. Although what I said about 19 episodes still holds true for The Office.

With The Sopranos and Sex and The City HBO split the final season of each in half and charged full season price for each half season. Who wants that?

My point was that HBO charged $100 MSRP for The Sopranos whether there was 13, 12 or 9 episodes. HBO split the sixth season of The Sopranos apart on video because the episodes aired about a year apart (and, of course, because they wanted to double their money with two releases).

And since each of the remaining seasons of Lost will run as one group of episodes and the first two seasons already 'exist' as their own groups of episodes, it is more than safe to assume that all the Lost seasons will be $97 MSRP on Blu Ray whether there's 14 episodes or 24 episodes.
