Sorry, bhut if Sony's history with the series remains the same, don't expect Season 7 until the end of the year. Sony has been releasing the All in the Family sets at the rate of one season per year.

True. However, this means the next one would be due now - not at the end of the year.

Sony really is the loser of tv-on-dvd.

Isn't that the truth. Since they're not doing extras (and of all the shows you'd think would get extras this would be one of them), they could have done 2 a year and be done with All in the Family AND Archie Bunker's Place by now, with time left to do Gloria and 704 Hauser!

Extras?!? Well, you'll just have to wait for extras when Sony decides to re-release the complete series in a gorgeous case with a special disc with incredible extras that you could only get if you repurchase the series again. This is merely speculation but given the track record of TV on DVD lately, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm really getting turned off on the whole industry of late. The only way they could build my confidence back up is if they adhere to the basic law of releasing extras in the last season to ensure that what the 'complete seasonists' get, we as loyal fans of the series, get.

That's all for now.

I feel the same way. I've already bought one complete set of a show that has been abandoned. And I've heard more and more tv fans are doing this now as they are fed up with the waiting. Can't say I blame them.

Not putting extras on the sets is pure laziness and trying to pinch out every cent.

Sony could have also released two seasons of The Jeffersons a year, and be done with that too.Sony, definitely is the worst studio for releasing(or not releasing,as is the case with so many of their shows)TV on DVD.
