"Slim" Buffy and Angel sets - how slimmer are they?

I've noticed that Fox have reissued all the Buffy and Angel seasons in what they call "slim" packaging, using the thin plastic boxes to house the individual discs instead of the original "digi-box" packaging. Can anyone tell me what the shelf thickness of a full 6-disc season is with this new packaging?

You've noticed but can't tell by looking at them on store shelves?

That's much easier than having someone describe it. If you have "Firefly" on DVD, then you know the kind of cases used, only difference being 2 discs per case rather than one, so these slim sets are thinner than the Firefly set is.

The sets are nearly half the size of the original sets. I know the X-Files sets are. The Buffy and Angels sets are slimmer by about 25% ...

On my shelf, the five seasons of Angel cover about 5 inches. The seven seasons of Buffy are less than 7 inches.

If you really want to save shelf space, you consider the full series sets (assuming you want all the seasons). Each is about the width of 2 of the old season sets.
