Genre trends?
Guys. Have you ever wondered if the audience who buys the DVD's to the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie would ever take a chance on buying other short lived family dramas such as "The Family Holvak, "Father Murphy," I'll Fly Away," and other such programming if the viewers never heard of it or saw of it.
Or another example, fans of Sherward Scwartz's Brady Bunch and Gilligan Island--would they be interested in purchasing his short-lived "It's About Time" series and other programs if the DVD's were marketed that way on the cover?
It's something I've thought about--if the viewers would try OTHER programs from their favorite writers/stars if they were marketed that way. Even if the other shows were only on for one year.
What do you think? Has it already been tried?
