Did Anyone Else Notice Logan's Run on Itunes

I just noticed the Complete Series is up on Itunes for Purchase. I have to Say Itunes is impressing me offering Series that DVD won't take a chance with. I supported them with Hill Street Blues S3, and I'll think I'll do the same with Logan's Run, They look fine on my Apple TV. I'm gonna drop them a note on Cheyanne and Have Gun Will Travel. I'm convinced this is a venue for series that the Studios won't release.

it is easier for them to take a chance. A title flops on iTunes, they don't have thousands of returns showing up via UPS. It just stinks that they can't put out a proper DVD with the series and the movie.

I'm not familiar with this. Is this something you can download and burn to a DVD blank? What is the quality and compression like?

I think it is going to become the norm for studios to try out download releases first, especially for older series. This way they have small upfront costs, then if it does well enough in the download market they will spend the outrageous marketing costs that are required to release them on DVD.

Frankly, as long as I can get what I want in high-def and burn it to a DVD (or HDDVD/Blu-Ray) I'd PREFER to download it.
