Is there any interest in "Hotel"?

Anybody else remember this show with James Brolin and Connie Selleca? I used to love it and would be interested in buying it if it were available on DVD.

I think there are some who would be interested, i know i would. In one of the greatest american hero threads it was brought up because of connie selleca. But i just don't see it ever coming out unfortunately. The best hope is for SoapNet to one day show it again so we can atleast record it and make self-made DVD's.

Re: Is there any interest in "Hotel"?

I don't know why it shouldn't be out on dvd, unless there's a stigma against dramas on dvd? I kinda think there is...lots of dramas just aren't coming out. We're seeing all the comedies, kids' shows and genre stuff, but very few dramas. Hotel was a very good show, but pretty much laugh-free. People think it was like the Love Boat, and it was--in concept. But it wasn't a comedy...there was no Charo and stupid stories, just good stories.

I wonder if the market for "drama" shows is not there, or if it's just been untapped so far? There's a lot of shows that I'd like to see, but we don't seem to be seeing them. For instance, we had one season of "Family," then...nothing. Same with a lot of other shows. What surprises me more, though, is that some of the primetime soaps are doing ok on dvd, especially Dallas.
