More Complete sets coming out

Wow, talk of King of Queens complete set coming out.

With Frasier on its last season, will that do the same?

Look at Friends, Mash, Alias, Brady Bunch. Land of the Lost.

Full House complete series is coming out the same day as the last season.

Simpsons too that could make into a complete Set

Sex in the city also
And StarTrek TNG.

What do you think of this way? Wait for complete series or buy by the season.

Re: More Complete sets coming out

If too many people wait for the complete set, they probably won't release anything beyond season one. That said, I would go either way with it. I couldn't have waited for a complete DS9, since I wanted those sets the day they were released. If I had waited, I still wouldn't have anything. But, even though I like Full House, I haven't bought a single set. The full series is a good option for me there. So far, the only complete series set I've purchased is Alias.

I doubt we'll ever see that. The 10th season is about to come out on DVD, but the 19th season is going to start airing this fall.

So not only are we years away from all the DVDs being produced (and we don't know when the show is going to end), but can you imagine a 20-30 season DVD set? You could be looking at over 100 discs.

Absolutely. The reason that studios are starting to make Complete Series sets is to get rid of excess inventory. They either breakdown unordered or returned sets or they have spindle after spindle of discs because they way over ordered.

If sales on individual seasons don't warrant further seasons being produced, you'll never see the Complete Series.

I agree... I think that waiting could backfire on you easily. That is pretty much the same as how I think waiting for the DVD release to even watch a show. If to many people wait for the DVD and not watch it on TV the ratings will go down on a show that you really do love... but gets canceled because they are not getting the ratings to stay on the air.

Hoping for Hogan's Heroes as well as A-Team, Knight Rider, and Magnum PI with single sided discs.

I prefer to get the season sets - since you can get them on 2 for 1 sales. I did finally pick up Land of the Lost when it came out as a complete set, but that was because it was cheaper than the single sets (and part of the 20% off sale).

Plus for some of us, it's easier to sneak in a couple $20 purchases over the long haul than have our spouse question us spending $200 at once.

fixed.

If I had a ratings box, I'm pretty sure I'd try to watch the shows I like, for the reason you state.

Wow good. I dont have any of these series that are coming out.
I think I'll buy them that way.
