Voyagers! coming to dvd in July....
According to www.tvshowsondvd.com the short run 1980's tv series "Voyagers!" is coming to dvd in July!
Cool!!
Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Re: Voyagers! coming to dvd in July....
It's funny because my brother was asking me just last week if I thought it would ever come out. I said I doubt it, would anyone even remember it? Well, I am glad I was wrong. Very cool news indeed.

Re: Voyagers! coming to dvd in July....
I remember this show, and it wasn't that good. That's a shame because I normally love time-travel shows (Time Tunnel not included). It had several things working against it: weak scripts, lackluster direction, and because of its Sunday time slot poor ratings.
As for its lead actors, Meeno Peluce didn't exactly set the acting world on fire, and his Voyagers co-star
Jon Erik-Hexum...after starring in the "Cover Up" series a few years later, "accidentally" shot himself in the head on the set with what he thought was a prop gun.

SciFi did run the show for a while in the 90's. I thought the Omni was a really cool prop. The Cartoon Network series "Time Squad" certainly borrowed a good chunk of it's premise from Voyagers.

Re: Voyagers! coming to dvd in July....
I loved this show although I couldn't stand Meeno Peluce. Of all the 70s/80s kid actors, he was the one I could not figure out. What was the attraction? It wasn't his talent, and it sure wasn't his looks. All I can conclude is that either he had a damn good agent, or his uncle ran NBC or something. At any rate, notice how many short-lived shows he was in. Suppose he was the reason they got cancelled? (heheheehehe!) Oh well--I'm sure he's enjoying his post-Hollywood career as the greeter at the Wal-Mart in Keokuk, Iowa.

I remember this one quite well. Used to watch it every week.
And then all sorts of groups starting protesting that it was too violent.

Re: Voyagers! coming to dvd in July....
Jeff#, I don't think you can dismiss Hexum so easily. He acted on one of the truly great TV shows of all time, Cover Up. I remember as a very young teenager watching that show all the time, although you didn't need the sound on. In fact, I don't remember his acting at all. But the actresses on Cover Up were more beautiful than the ones in Charlie's Angels.
TV DVDs wanted: TJ Hooker (seasons 3-5), The Fall Guy (Seasons 2-5), Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Father Dowling Mysteries, Queen of Swords, Smurfs, and Charlemagne (1994 TV miniseries)

Too violent!? Did I miss the Spanish Inquistion episode or something? It aired at seven on Sunday nights, and had all that FCC mandated educational content to boot!
