I heard from a friend of mine that The King Of Queens Seaon 8 is coming on may 1st.If this turns out to be true than this show should finish up this year.Since season 9 is currently running on cbs.I would think that season 9 would be released sometime soon after the last episodes air.

Unless I'm mistaken, isn't season 9 very short, only a handful of episodes? If so, it would make more sense to me if they just released a single combined SEASON 8/9 set for the end of the run.

Season 8 is a regular-length season, while season 9 is 13 episodes--too many to combine.

I'm actually looking forward to them not stretching out 8-9 episodes on a disc for the season 9 set (assuming they don't go ahead and squeeze all 13 on a single disc).

If KOQ S8 is released on May 1, my guess is that S9 will be released around the time the Kevin James-Adam Sandler movie hits theaters in July or when it hits home video (most likely October or November). Regardless, I too believe we'll see S9 this year.
