I haven't seen any word on an official release on this or the shout factory one as well. Is the mill creek release up for sale anywhere.

The running times for a number of episodes look odd. A half hour show of that era would be approximately 26 minutes. Some of these episodes are 20 to 22 minutes which probably means tiime sped or edited episodes. On the other end, some have running times of 29 minutes. Does that mean the original commercials are included?

You can pre-order Shout's release, "The Nelson Family Presents the Best of the Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet", here:

http://www.amazon.com/Best-Adventure...?ie=UTF8&s=dvd

Also check on Shout! Factory's website under their community forum for "Classic TV (That Girl, McHale’s, etc.)", you'll find info on the release on the “The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet” thread.

Re: Ozzie & Harriet Mill Creek Entertainment Box Set Episode Listing!!

A few of the episodes in this set have appeared on some of the public domain releases, but I like the fact that these are all episodes from the 1950s, when David and Ricky were younger. Really weird running times on these though . . . I'm definitely getting the Shout! Factory release but will wait until there are a few reviews in on this set. Incidentally, the first episode on the set, "Halloween Party," features a brief cameo by Jerry Mathers as a trick-or-treater, several years before "Leave it to Beaver." And wasn't the Cleaver family a little like the Nelsons?

Ricky the Drummer
4/10/1957
24:45:00

I’m a little suspicious of the running time for the “Ricky the Drummer” episode. This is the episode where Ricky sang the Fats Domino song “I’m Walkin’.” As Steve O has pointed out, 26 minutes (without commercials) would be the correct approximate running time for a half hour show from this era. I wonder if Ricky’s musical performance of this song will be included, as well as other musical performances? Shout! Factory has advised that there will be eight of Ricky’s musical performances included in their set, which will have 24 episodes spread across four single-sided DVDs, plus numerous extras.
