friends set

did anyone get the huuuuge friends box set?! I couldn't wait until christmas and had to go buy it. i love all the pictures and stuff in the book that came in it. the best part is all the outtakes..they sure did have a lot of fun filming that show. i only had 2 seasons on dvd to begin with and i was missing some of the discs..so this set sure made it easier for me. its just great. think you'l get it, or do you have it?
dont forget to add it to your christmas list. ha ha ha

Glad you like it! Nah, I bought each one of the ten seasons individually and then spent another $20 to get that fancy box to hold them all. Ironic, since I just pulled out ``Friends'' Season 5 and began watching episodes on it tonight for the first time in a long time. Watching the episode ``The One With All the Kips''...hilarious!

Re: friends set

I'm also one who collected them season by season and got the large black box. Actually, I like the black box more......It's nice and sturdy and looks great on the shelf.....this newer cardboard filebox just doesn't cut it for me. But for those who missed out, this new set is a good enough alternative I guess.....at least you get a booklet - too bad Warner didn't think to send those who bought the Season sets the same thing.

Recently watched- Night At The Museum, Dark Shadows: The Revival, The New World, U2: Under A Blood Red Sky(Live At Red Rocks), Superman: Doomsday, Michael Palin: Around The World In 80 Days, Nosferatu: A Symphony Of Horror, The Godfather Part III, Flight Of The Phoenix(2004)

Currently watching- The Complete Monty Python’s Flying Circus Megaset, Magnum P.I.: Season 6, Heroes: Season 1, Twin Peaks, Lovejoy: Season 2, Airwolf: Season 2, Star Trek: The Animated Series

Re: friends set

Agreed on the booklet...the problem with these series sets is that they often have extras in them such as commentaries and whatnot on the DVDs that weren't in the original season sets (M*A*S*H comes to mind) and really seem to be tailored to those buyers who never sprang for the season sets. Wish I knew what was going on in the mind of the studios' marketing departments beside the crass seeking of more dollars.

I to collected the Seasons individually and then got the black box, which I like better than the new one. So, I doubt I will get it, unless I somehow win some money...

Shows I Want on DVD:
- Who's the Boss? Seasons 2-8
- Law & Order: SVU Seasons 8 & 9
- The Nanny Seasons 3-6
- Taxi Seasons 4-5
