While the "circle" may continue, the thing will be for sale for a long, long time.

Same here. It was the principle of the matter. It really wouldn't have bent me out of shape as much as some viewers watching ``WKRP,'' since I couldn't remember the music from the show...but after hearing how badly butchered it was going to be. I saved my money by canceling my pre-order, and spent it on other shows.

We get it- Despite not actually watching any shows made in the last two decades, you hate them all.

* big salute for that one *
I did buy the incomplete Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman DVD set recently since it was own sale. Blame it on curiosity. I don't remember it too much so the changes won't bother me. Now, WKRP? I would take it for free but then I'd ebay it unopened. They can keep that mess.

Re: Enough already Fox. Are we EVER going to see WKRP released?
For those of you who already bourght the season 1 of WKRP, can anyone tell me how the extras/interviews were? Was Gary Frank and Jan Smithers interviewed? They weren't on the second version of the program, and I was wondering how they were doing?
Sincerely,
James Smith

Besides, WKRP is probably a little too intelligent a show for Fox's usual DVD audience, the Buffy crowd. Actually, it's too bad Fox can't figure out a way to tie the release into Buffy somehow. I bet then they would find a way to pay to license the music.

Whoa, what's with the sudden need to bash "Buffy"?!? I am a fan of both "WKRP" and "Buffy", and both are very smart, but I'd actually give the tip of the hat to "Buffy" in that regard. But I digress - no need to blame another, successful-on-DVD series for the apparent failure of another.
I did manage to enjoy "WKRP" season one on DVD, and am hoping for more. Preferably intact, of course...

Re: Enough already Fox. Are we EVER going to see WKRP released?
Anyone who doesn't realize how complex and intelligent a show Buffy was has clearly never seen it. And as much as I love WKRP it was hardly Hamlet.

Put me with the crowd who had to be "corrected" about Buffy.
