Best Program To Copy DVD's

If this topic is not allowed please close it. I am looking for the best program that will allow me to create back-ups of my own DVDs. My daughter likes to keep a selection of movies in the car and I would hate to ruin my good versions with the abuse they will get in the car. I don't need home theater quality copies and would prefer a program that only copies the movie (ie- the movie starts as soon as you put it into the player). I had DVDXCopy which worked well but the company seems to have gone out of business and I can no longer activate it. I again want to state that I do not want to create a thread that is not allowed here but this is for my own back-ups of my own dvds.
Addendum: I don't know how I posted to this section I thought I was in the software- film and documentary section. Either way I am not sure where this thread belongs.
