Veronica Mars S2 removed at Amazon ...

Status changed to not available and you can't now pre-order it. Any idea why? Last-minute music clearance issue a la La Femme Nikita S2 perhaps?

I noticed that as well. I pre-ordered it a few weeks ago before it was made unavailable, so hopefully there's no problems. I also noticed The X-Files thinpaks seasons 4 and 5 are unavailable the same way.

I'm pretty sure it will be out. I have an advance copy and it's totally like the copies for sell in the stores, not one of those advances with the dummy discs , it has the artwork on all the discs and it's real nice so I'm sure it will be out..

Maybe this is along the same lines as Amazon dropping the Alias Complete and Star Trek: Animated. Hopefully, they will all be back soon. Actually, I think TAS is still listed, but no longer active for pre-order.

Funny, the offer to buy both season sets is still up for pre-order. I hope it's still coming out next week.

DDD still has it available for preorder, so apparently there's something going on with Amazon and not the Veronica Mars release.

Hmm. I pre-ordered from Amazon back in May, so I really hope there isn't going to be a delay with the pre-ordered DVDs. Maybe they just had more pre-orders than they anticipated or something.

I wonder if this just means they've pre-sold through their initial expected allotment. As far as I know Amazon doesn't intentionally backorder. That woudl epxlain why the S1/S2 2-pack is still available.

It's rare for me to see a major store breaking street--in fact, the only time I can recall is when someone had Return of the Living Dead III early, which was hardly noteworthy--but I saw VM S2 in a big chain today. I didn't buy it, because they had it listed for $49.99 and I'm sure it'll be cheaper Tuesday. It may have even scanned for cheaper today (or, not at all, if it's blocked in the system), but I'm in no rush.
