I'd grab this in a heartbeat. I remember it on VHS and it was pretty great.

I'd also like to get "This is Elvis", as well as the original cut of "ELVIS : That's the way it is".

This is indeed a made-for-TV movie which came out in '79. In fact, this was nomiated for 3 Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe (Best Motion Picture Made for TV).

I admit, I've never seen this and would definitely like to. "Elvis & Me" was another great TV mini-series I wouldn't mind owning.

677 titles and counting......

Hmm, I guess since the recent upgrade here, HTF changed their policy and now made for TV movies go in the TV section whereas previously they were in the film/documentary section. Can't say I approve but hey.

Help get \"The Resurrected\", John Carpenter\'s TV films (amongst others) released on DVD! Click on the following link to learn how.

I'd love to buy the recent Johnathon Rhys Meyers and Camryn Manheim TV movie. So good.

I really enjoyed that too, although I wish it hadn't ended with the "'68 Comeback Special". They could've easily extended the mini-series to three parts to cover the remaining 9 years of Elvis' career, and ultimately his death. After watching it, I was just left asking myself, "Where's the rest?". Stellar acting all around though.

I'd love to see this released with another commentary from Carpenter and Russell.

Anyone interested in the 2005 TV movie starring Johnathon Rhys Meyers and Camryn Manheim can click here for more info on the DVD release in R4- http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/786150. It's been released here, as has the Jennifer Love Hewitt movie The Audrey Hepburn Story. No bonus features though.

Yeah, and it would be great to hear Russell reflect since I believe this, more than anything, represents Russell's shift from child star to adult leading man.
