TVShowsOnDVD voting ranks it at #135 (within top 2% of shows we take votes on) in the list of most-wanted unreleased-to-DVD shows. I'd say that's "popular" enough to make a profit.
I know that at TSoD we show "Fox" as the property-holder, but I wonder if that's right. IMDB shows that Fox and CBS Production both own a piece of it. If CBS/Paramount have the DVD rights, then that may explain a lack of DVD release, as Paramount and CBS have a LOT of TV properties they have yet to get to.
For that matter, so does Fox, but they seem to be a bit farther along than Paramount (especially as they pioneered the concept of the Season Set
).
