Fans can re-acquaint themselves with the show and get a sneak peek of all new episodes before those episodes begin airing in January 2006. They will enjoy this thrill-a-minute show that chronicles the courageous struggles of the universe's last handful of human survivors as they seek safe haven from the diabolical Cylon Empire. DVD is priced at $49.98; preorder close is November 15, 2005.
Battlestar Galactica: Season 2.0 finds the ragtag remnants of the Twelve Colonies of Men pursued by renegade robots intent on eradicating humankind as growing dissent from within threatens to destroy the group's alliance. Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell head up the sterling cast as Commander William "Husker" Adama, and President Laura Roslin, an ill-matched pair who must put aside their differences to keep the disparate band of survivors alive. Also featured are Jamie Bamber (Band of Brothers), James Callis (Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason), Aaron Douglas (I, Robot), Tricia Helfer (Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Charlie's Angels), Grace Park (Human Cargo) and Katee Sackhoff (Halloween: Resurrection).
Featuring mind-blowing special features including podcast commentaries from producer Ron Moore, more than 40 never-before-seen deleted or extended scenes, plus an exclusive sneak peek at all-new upcoming episodes, the Battlestar Galactica: Season 2.0 DVD takes fans of this science fiction phenomenon into the far reaches of its gritty, richly imagined universe.

Does anybody know anything about the Canadian release of "Battlestar Galactica" Season 2.0? Amazon.ca lists it, but says that "the studio will be releasing this at an unspecified date." On the same page a May 25, 2006 release date is listed.
The problem for me is that I haven't seen the first half of BSG season two. So I didn't watch the new episode this weekend. I assumed that the first half was being released on DVD in the U.S. to drum up interest for the second half. Since the TV release schedule of BSG in Canada follows that of the U.S., why isn't the DVD set available in Canada?
Maybe Canada will only get a complete Season two set with all twenty episodes in the summer. Oh well. :-(

I suspect so Caleb. That is why I ordered it from Amazon.com.
Cheaper than what I paid for the first season. Now I have to wait till mid-March for the Space channel to catch up.

Lou, I'm considering buying it on Amazon.com , but does the fact that Canada hasn't gotten Season 2.0 on DVD mean that we'll get it in spring or summer and then a separate set for Season 2.5? Or will we just get one big set in fall?
I suspect that we'll get the two halves, but on a delayed schedule. I just looked at my Season 1 set and it doesn't have a French language channel or subtitles, but does have Spanish subtitles. This leads me to believe that Canada got the American set.
Thanks, Lou, I'll probably order it, then.
