Thanks for checking out this thread. As I am not a TV on DVD guy. BB has a two for the price of one sale on TV Box Sets. Please direct me to the "best". Post the widescreen TV shows, you enjoy, with the best sound & video quality.
Much appreciated!
Movies are: "The Greatest Artform".

Best sound and video quality?
The two best that come instantly to mind are Desperate Housewives and Lost. After those two, Alias and 24. Also good is Arrested Development.
To the best of my knowledge, though, that sale at Best Buy is just for Sony/MGM titles, in which case all of the titles mentioned so far are out.

Star Trek: Enterprise looks marvelous in widescreen.
There's also two anime that I enjoy, Ah My Goddess and Sugar: A Little Snow Fairy that are in widescreen.

The first two seasons of 6FU are 4:3, which was their OAR.
This is a strange thread. Shouldn't the first criterion be whether you like the show?

There are tons of TV shows. There are tons of TV on DVD's. The sale ends on Friday the 13th! Was hoping regulars to this forum would quickly, as you all have, sort though all the weak stuff and get right to the good stuff. Of coarse the creative element of the TV show will be the deciding factor in this discission.
Deadwood is supposed to be an outstanding series and I do not have HBO at this time, thanks.

Thanks.
The BB sale is for "over 45 titles to choose from". Ad also says; "Offer applies to all available seasons of titles listed and shown" (page two).
Ad shows "Rescue Me". I enjoyed season two. Anyone on DVD quality or other opinons on this TV show on DVD?

Yep, that sale is exclusively Sony/MGM titles. Of the titles mentioned, Rescue Me and Stargate Atlantis fit your criteria. The other titles mentioned are great, too, though.

Thanks again, Elijah.
WoW... over 45 TV titles just from Sony/MGM!
How hard would it be to get a list, I wonder. Well off to the BB web site!
Saw an interview with star/producer Dennis Leary were he talked about his friends complaining about season one not being very good (maybe engaging is closer to an exacte quote). He told them the show would really take off in the second season. Is the second season even out?
Here they are:

Stargate is good; the "gift set" isn't anything different from the other releases.

I picked up Stargate Seasons 6 & 7 via this sale. I would never have bought them otherwise, but the quality is pretty good on the sets. They look better on my television then my laptop (Powerbook G4), which is rare.
I don't know what Stargate Season 1, 2 and 3 look like on DVD as I downloaded those a couple of years ago. But 4-7 are pretty good looking.
