How Many Sets Did You Get In '05?
The topic is self-explanatory. How many TV-DVD sets did you purchase/receive in 2005? Also, how did it compare to previous years?
I'll be the first to answer. In 2005, I purchased/received a whopping 45 sets. By comparison, in 2004, I purchased/received 16 sets, and in 2003, i purchased/received 11 sets. The biggest reason for the surge was the purchasing of four new series on DVD (for me): three seasons of Monk, four seasons of 24, four volumes of Batman: The Animated Series, and five seasons of The West Wing.

Uh, this is a VERY revealing thread  I never realized that this is what I bought in '05 (ordering online from 2 outlets made it easy to tally it up)
38 sets. In this case, I counted all of the Combat! packs as 1 set/series, and the same with the "Rifleman" sets.
The count includes 2 miniseries and 2 "megasets" (Dick Van Dyke complete set, and the Secret Agent set)
Included were 2 PAL R2 sets, "Rich Man, Poor Man Bk 1" and "Bionic Woman" from Amazon UK
When I get more time, I'll list the series (watching the NFL playoff game at present )

Roughly fifteen in 2005 (I have one that still on order), five in 2004, four in 2003, and two in 2002. There's one more that aired on PBS's "Great Performances"; it's both a CD/DVD.

My TV on DVD count for 2005 is 33 however, a handful are single-disc releases.
