David the Gnome?

After watching the first episode again (the only episode I possess), it must be said...this show must come out on DVD. Considering it only has 26 episodes, they could just release the whole show in one DVD set...or, they could just release them in volumes (like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo). Would be nice to see both versions released (the original 1985 Spanish version, and the 1987 English dub..with Tom Bosley as the voice of David the Gnome).

What do you think? Discuss if you want to...

I'd buy this in a heartbeat. I used to watch it all the time on Nickelodeon as a kid.

Me too, I would buy it!

That and The Wisdom of the Gnomes and the other movie "The Gnomes" based on the works of Huygen & Poortvliet.

I have some books of that, great works!

I'd buy this as well. This show was a phenomenon when I lived in Holland in the 80s (I actually lived in the same town as Poortvliet, and my grandmother knew him - he even made a painting of an old shed that was on her land). I'd be interested in a Dutch release of the show as well, since that is what I grew up with.

In any case, 26 episodes would make a nice series of low-priced volumes, like A Pup Named Scooby-Doo as Robert mentioned.

Ah yes, Tom Bosley. Classic. And then following would be a bunch of other essential Nickelodeon imports and original cartoons & series from the 80s like:

--The Little Prince
--The Mysterious Cities of Gold (great theme song!)
--The Adventures of the Little Koala (also great theme song!)
--Mapletown
--Pinwheel
--Today's Special!
