Gilligan's Island - Extras release?
Since the third, and final, season of G.I. will hit the stores the end of this month, is there enough interest on the public's part, and any from the studio, to put out a 4th set that would contain the made for TV movies?
1978 - Rescue from Gilligan's Island
1979 - The Castaway's from Gilligan's Island
1981 - The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island
...the set could also include:
1988 - "The Late Show" interview with the entire cast. Possibly the last time they were ever all together in front of a camera.
2001 - Surviving Gilligan's Island
Any other blooper reels or footage that might still be around.
Time-wise the air-time listed about should be about the same as 17 30min episodes. Maybe a $24.95 or $29.95 MSRP would be a good enough incentive for the studios to put it together for the fan base. This would really be a great way to cap the release on DVD.
Yes, I already know that "Rescue from Gilligan's Island" is out on DVD. I bought it new for one dollar a couple of days ago and just watched it. It was worth the dollar, no more. A horrible transfer and the audio drags in a few places. I've also heard it's been cut, but since I missed the broadcast years ago I wanted to see it.
