Return to the Batcave
An entertaining look at the folklore of the 60s TV show. I'm now tempted to grab the Adam & Burt biographies.
I got the NTSC/R1 edition which is 16:9 enhanced widescreen, but just has a 2.0 soundtrack (despite the claim of 5.1 on the cover).
Strangely enough, Anchorbay have also released a version in UK (PAL/R2) that is 4:3/fullscreen format, but does have 2.0 and 5.1 Dolby + DTS soundtracks.
The R2 edition also includes trailer, bigraphies and film notes.
The cover is also significantly different in that it omits the tag line about Adam & Burt and also removes these actors (and the batmobile) and has larger shots of the two actors used for the 'flashback' sequences.
Seems like an odd way for the same distrubutor to handle this package. Given the original USA broadcast, I'd have expected the r1 edition to have the extra features (and at least one 5.1 soundtrack!).
Anyone viewed the UK edition ?
