This week Ken McAlinden reviews Albert Lewin's MGM adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, a highly awaited release that gets notable recommendation. Levi Stubbs not with the Four Tops on Letterman

I was looking forward to seeing the Four Tops on Letterman last night (Tuesday, 3/15/05) but was surprised that lead singer Levi Stubbs was not there.

If anyone knows why, I'd appreciate knowing the reason.

Sadly, Mr. Stubbs has been in failing health in the past few years (diabetes, a stroke, and other complications). It's a real shame, because of his distinctive voice- I mean, he led the group for over 40 years!! At least we have all those legendary recordings......

Sorry to hear about his health problems. Thanks for the response.

I will really miss him. At least I'll have the CDs, my videotape of Motown 25, and memories of the many times I've seen the Tops.
