Anybody have news, or a review, of the latest Mad About You DVD release. I bought seasons 1 and 2, and was looking forward to 3 and possibly 4. This was a show that really hit it's stride in seasons 2 and 3, and then began a slow, steady decline with stunt casting (Yoko Ono, Bruce Willis) attempts at drama (it's a sitcom!), and the introduction of baby Mabel.
The baby thing could have worked, there was comedy gold to be mined there (there were moments in the Coming Home episode.) Also, Resier's book "Babyhood" had some hilarious stuff in it, kept waiting for them to fold it into the show, never happened.
Anyway, now they've got this Mad About You Collection, which has eps pulled from the whole series, 5 of which I already have on the season 1 and 2 sets. Dare I double dip just to get the classic Thanksgiving episode, some commentary and behind the scenes stuff, and the medicore series finale (where the bast part was the handheld video montage at the very end)
I've searched around a bit looking for a review, no such luck. My apologies if I missed it.
One last question, does anyone think this means no more season sets, or will is this a big set up?
Rats, now I find the thread...any way to move this post and close this thread?
