NIGHT COURT

Finally! Season 1 was a short one and Mac, Christine, and Roz weren't there yet but it's a great start! Support each release so the nine complete seasons come out. The price is right, too.

THANK YOU, WARNER!

I'm very happy to hear about Night Court, though I still think it would have been better to release the first two seasons together -- there were so many cast changes after the first season (and even during, because Karen Austin left the show in the middle of the season) that people may barely recognize the show. Still, there's Harry, Dan and Bull and Selma, and guest stars like Michael J. Fox, so hopefully that'll keep people happy enough to buy it and bring on season 2...

To be fair, Warners is working on classic series also. An article in USA Today earlier this year said
Quote:
Warner's Mike Saksa says his company is only now beginning to mine its rich library of classic TV shows. Nearly 30 series have been pegged for DVD release over the next five years, including 77 Sunset Strip, Maverick and F Troop.

In addition to the titles mentioned above, Warners has released Gilligan's Island and is said to be restoring "The Adventures of Superman" for release.

The shows mentioned in Patrick's initial post are all popular in their own right and deserve to be released. I used to watch a couple of them myself. Knowing the great job that Warners does with their sets, fans of these shows will not be disappointed on February 8th!

I'm so happy about the Fresh Prince announcement... what an amazing show. Also one of the few shows with a first season up to par with all the rest.

Full House also brings back memories.
