Rat Patrol on DVD?

I received a catalog in the mail from an outfit called The Video Collection which is advertising a 6-disc set of The Rat Patrol for $120.00. I don't see this listed anywhere else, and it seems like an outrageous price for what is advertised as 5 hours of programming. Just two 30-minute episodes per disc, apparently.

Has anyone seen this, or know what company produced the set?

There is no legitimate Rat Patrol release. This is a bootleg and buyers should beware. Also, it is by no means a PD show.

Movies Unlimited carries many, many titles that are gray market.

Yeah, I know. I'm just wondering who is putting this set out, so I ordered one volume (two episodes) to see what it looks like and where it's coming from.

Who owns the rights to Rat Patrol? It looks like it was a United Artists production.

All former UA shows are now under MGM control. Which actually bodes well for a possible release as they really do not have a great deal of viable TV product. I ran the whole series off from 16mm years ago so its not a big concern of mine.

There are a lot of copies on Ebay, including a 14 disc complete series.

The DVD set is from Nostalgia Family Video -- public domain prints which are a bit ragged but watchable. Way overpriced -- $14.95 for two episodes.
