Dick Van Dyke Show Megaset?

Does anyone know if there's a chance for the release of a Dick Van Dyke Show Megaset, containing all 5 seasons?

I would buy it if it came in a limited edition ottoman.

There actually was supposed to be an ottoman collection! If you go to dickvandykeshow.com, you can read about it. There hasn't been any news on the collection in a long time, so I have no idea if it's actually going to happen or not, but the plan was for all of the DVDs to come in a flip top ottoman along with specials, autographed items, etc. It certainly would be cool, although I don't know what I'd do since I'll have bought all five seasons already!

Yes indeedy. www.dvdondvd.com has been advertising the "Ottoman Collection" for years now. But at the suggested $799 price tag, I'm doubting those Mega Ottoman Sets are gonna be flying off the shelves (or the Levitz showroom floors).

Apparently, though, if you go the "Ottoman" route, there will be some additional items included (along with the 5 season sets and the furniture), including some "personally autographed items".

These blurbs re. the "Ottoman Collection" still reside on the
dvd-on-dvd website. .......

>> "You will be able to purchase one disk, a boxed season, or the whole collection. For serious collectors, we will offer a limited edition consisting of all the disks, special material, and some personally autographed items, all encased in a "flip-top" ottoman, just like the one DVD trips over (most of the time!) in the opening credits.

>> We intend to make the price of each disk and the collection reasonable. At this time, we're estimating a cost of $799 with easy monthly payment options available. For this price, you'll get all 158 episodes, the bonus disks, the special DVD Ottoman, and some additional collectibles. You will also be able to purchase the disks without the Ottoman in boxed sets, as well as individual disks, all at very reasonable prices."

YIKES! I would pay $799 for the ottoman special only if Dick Van Dyke will personally deliver it and trip over it!

That's what most of us thought, Randi. The greed of the owner of that site was beyond belief.

Anyway, Deepdiscountdvd might bunch some of these together at some point like they did with MASH or Sanford and Son.
