Smallville: Season 3

I know the second season doesn't come out until tomorrow and the 3rd season finale doesn't air until Wednesday, but has there been any word on when the 3rd season will be released on DVD?

I'd be nice if it was released before the 4th season premiere for those of us who discovered the show through DVD and are trying to catch up.

No word has been announced, but I wouldn't expect it any earlier than this time next year.

I asked them that very thing at the WB chat, and they said it's in the works but will not be out before the next season starts. They didn't give any information beyond that.

If I had to guess I'd say we'll probably be caught up for the start of season 5.
