Any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Season 1 reviews

Maybe someone received a copy early or something and has a review. I'd really like to pick this up but Artisan Entertainment has a tradition of sucking.

Even if the release ends up sucking... it's still only ~$12 (most places), so not a major loss if that happens.

According to that review there seems to be an alternate "original" theme for the first season... I don't remember any other TMNT theme song but can anyone confirm whether this farmiliar track will be included in any of the episodes on this disc...?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
Heroes in a half-shell, Turtle Power!

They’re the world’s most fearsome fighting teens
They’re heroes in a half shell and they’re green
When the evil Shredder attacks
These turtles boys don't cut him no slack!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,

Splinter taught them to be ninja teens
Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines
Raphael is cool but crude (gimme' a break)
Michaelangelo is a party dude

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Heroes in a half shell, Turtle power!

Also, what's this about...

"The box cover is good-looking, but it's hard to get the case out of the box for some reason."

I thought it came in a regular green amaray keep case?

Can anyone confirm this, because I never order box-sets online and I've had this preordered through Video Universe since it was announced. I just want to know if I should cancel my pre-order and pick this up in person on Tuesday?

The theme song is the same for Season 1 as it always has been. This was one of the first songs I memorized as a kid and I'd notice a change-there is no change. The bonus episodes do have a different theme song but this was much later in the series so they finally changed it.

I got mine yesterday and it's definitely worth the green (no pun intended). The print used for the first episode is a little dirty but it's still watchable and hardly distracting. The other four are great with deep colors and clear images. The audio's not bad either, I was hearing sound effects more clearly than ever. Artisan did a great job with the disc and I can only hope we get Season 2 (all though the packaging says nothing of it being Season 1 the identiying label on the top of the case does) sooner than they released Season 2 of Speed Racer.

I am Jack\'s empty signature bar.

I'm pretty sure the disc comes with a cardboard slipcase and the regular amaray just slids inside. The case is embossed and raised where the turtles and logo appears on the cover-image.

Speed Racer Volume 2 is due on May 18th so that's not really going to happen.
