Well, with Amazon there should be a little indicator if the item is in stock, or it may say that it'll be in stock by such-and-such date.

From amazon.com:
Space 1999 Megaset. $50

I gave up on this show after about five episodes...I couldn't bear to watch it anymore, so I turned it over to my best friend. And he reports back to me that it's not that bad...
That filmation stuff is like gold to me now for some reason. I remembered Ark II fondly and it hasn't disappointed, I was a huge fan of Jason of Star Command but I don't remember a whole lot. Looking forward to revisiting it. Now Space Academy, I absolutely don't remember it at all. I'll bet I like it if it's similar to Ark II or just has a strong 70s retro feel. I'm really into that right now. Land of the Lost has also been excellent.

I just watched a very early episode of Mystery Science theater 3000 that featured Cosmic Princess, which was really just a few Space 1999 episodes played back to back and it was great! I loved it so much and was thrilled the whole show could be bought for so cheap.

Smart thinking.

Yeah, that thing I got from wally world for like $25. It's great! Made my old TV new again.

Too bad there are still two that have yet to be released: 'Full Circle' and 'Hemingway Adventure'. Odd that they released the most recent one: 'New Europe' first.....hope they release them soon.
I have at least one Full Circle recorded that I've never seen. I really need to pull that out and watch it sometime. I recorded it off PBS ages ago.

You son of a.....

But...I could've gotten something else for that $20. Journey to the Far Side of the Sun is coming out in June. That was written by the Andersons. Looks great! I wish I could get it before I start the series UFO, since it came out before. But I'm not sure if I can wait that long.

Anyway, where did you get it for $30?!

Deep Discount, which had a "Buy One Get One Free" Sale. It actually cost me $60, but I also got the Outstanding WWII Series The World at War(Which was also $60) but since it was a BOGO Sale, they both cost $30 Each!

When Journey to the Far Side of the Sun comes out I Will Purchase it, even though I already have a Copy of it. (The one I currently have, - Bought from EBAY is obviously a BOOTLEG. ) When I receive the Legitimate Issue of this Movie I will CERIMONIOUSLY DESTROY THE BOOTLEG!!!!!!!!!

DVD Inventory: TV Show Episodes: 5,942. Movies: 373. Serial Chapters: 350.

I'll bet that World at War is awesome. For $10 more I could've gotten it back then. A big "darn it" on that one.

Glad you're a fan of old school sci-fi effects too. All this Thunderbirds, etc I'm getting has me hungry for the old days before computer took over. I can't wait to see all those miniatures!

Just ordered I LOVE LUCY - Seasons 5 and 6. I'm loving the current dollar-euro exchange rate! Gives me the impression of getting a bargain everytime I order from the US.

Bring these sets on!

Everwood : Seasons 2-4
Knots Landing : Seasons 2-14
Life Goes On : Seasons 2-4
Party of Five : Seasons 4-6

Re: Whats the last TV DVD you bought

Stingray showed up today. Wow! It's a large box. Full size cases. But it looks like A&E did a top notch job on it..although the back of the box has no pictures..odd. I'm dying to start watching but I'll wait for Supercar and start with it, then go with Fireball. It's a real shame that Monochrome Set with Four Feather Falls those UK folks have isn't avail over here. Well, Four Feather Falls is on youtube, but that isn't the same. I watched the first episode and it reminds me so much of Rankin/Bass stuff. I really liked it. That talking house with the accent was a hoot. Would've loved it as a child.

Whisper, the other way around makes me feel ripped off when I order something from the other side of the pond. That Monochrome set would cost a lot to get.
