Enjoy The Giant Gila Monster.
I actually have that episode on VHS and it is definitely top notch. If you get a chance to see it that way it might turn you into a fan. Although I quite like the movie even without the jokes. Have you ever seen The Creeping Terror? Gila reminds me of it a little. I remembered seeing Creeping Terror when I was a kid and kind of liked it. I didn't realize it was so strange at the time. There are a lot of these kinds of film on that show, you could check out their episode guide for ideas of stuff to look for.

Radioman,

I have it on DVD (the Drive-In Classics version). It's wonderfully campy, and at times (with the music that accompanies some of the scenes) kind of creepy. I think I mentioned that I also have I Bury the Living, The Hand, The Wasp Woman, The Screaming Skull, and The Giant Leeches. Great fun!

The ones highlighted were featured on the show, both to great effect. I love Leeches! It's a shame they couldn't get Beverly Garland to play the little tramp on that one. Although she's more of a firey housewife, she's great in It Conquered the World! Even seem that? Great stuff. And the monster is "scary". *giggles*

No, I've not seen It Conquered the World yet. I've also not seen The Monster That Challenged the World (1957). Both are on my 'to see' list.

That's the one! There's a documentary about American International Pictures that I recorded off one of the channels when I still had a dish, Beverly Garland describes how she was told to scream like the scariest monster ever was going to kill her. She belts out the lines with gusto. but then she saw the finished thing and gave the director, Roger Corman, a tongue lashing.

I always thought she was a very lovely lady...

Re: Whats the last TV DVD you bought

ARK II showed up in the mail Saturday. I took the slim cases out of the the holder and noticed there is printing on the inside of the inside of that vehicle they ride around in. It's hard to see, but looks neat anyway. I think BCI did a first rate job with the packaging and with the DVDs too it seems like. I haven't watched one yet but looking forward to it.
