Re: Whats the last TV DVD you bought

Finally got around to completing my X-Files collection with Seasons 8 and 9.

All I have left to buy is The Lone Gunmen spinoff series.

Re: Whats the last TV DVD you bought

Jim Henson's Storyteller Collection. Got this for my mom for Christmas. She'd mentioned wanting Brothers Grimm, so I got her the grimm Grimm and that excellent Storyteller series so she can see how it's ought to be done.

Damn, the buy 1 get 1 on Lost in Space sounds great. I only have Season 1 but I've wanted to complete my collection for ages.

And DDD always has free standard shipping - which in practice gets stuff to me within 3 or 4 business days, plenty of time for catalog stuff that's been out for awhile anyway. Also my membership discount and extra coupon made The Ultimate Superman Collection a better buy for me at Barnes & Noble than at Amazon. So while I certainly buy a lot at Amazon, I generally comparison shop - especially on pricey boxed sets - and if there's a difference of more than a couple of bucks, I'll go with the best price.

Well, since I so very rarely go for the pricey boxed sets, it's not as much of an issue for me. I've always been interested in the Star Trek sets, mostly Enterprise and Voyager at this point, but I just refuse to buy them for more than $100 each, let alone $80 or $90, so I'm hoping that Amazon will hold a similar sale to the one earlier in the fall that enabled me to get the Star Trek: TNG sets for about $41 to $47 each. Have had bad experiences with the other retailers in terms of getting stuff to me, which is also why I'm a big fan of Amazon Prime, since UPS is pretty much always reliable.
