I was skeptical of this show when it first aired. The show was about high school kids in the 1980s. Since I went to high school in the mid-60s I figured I wouldn't like this show. I was completely wrong. This show touchs on issues that are universal to all high school experiences -- the awkwardness of trying to be accepted or trying to be different from the main crowd.
This was a very intellegenlty written show with a first rate cast. I highly recommend this DVD. I am anxious to see the three unaired episodes, also.

That's the cover art for the six-disc regular edition. I'll be buying the 8-disc Fan Edition.
Don't you ever, EVER compare me to "Family Guy," you hear me Kyle? Compare me to "Family Guy" again and so help me, I will kill you where you stand!
Do you have any idea what it's like? Everywhere I go: "Hey Cartman you must like 'Family Guy,' right?" "Hey, your sense of humor reminds me of 'Family Guy' Cartman!" I AM NOTHING LIKE FAMILY GUY! WHEN I MAKE JOKES THEY ARE INHERENT TO A STORY! DEEP SITUATIONAL AND EMOTIONAL JOKES BASED ON WHAT IS RELEVANT AND HAS A POINT, NOT JUST ONE RANDOM INTERCHANGEABLE JOKE AFTER ANOTHER!

Over on the F&G board at http://www.freaksandgeeks.com, series executive producer Judd Apatow posted the following about the special edition DVD set:
"I assumed, for the collector's edition, that you would want everything, and that is what you will get. There are a bunch of classic scenes that we put the raw footage on the DVD. So you see a scene you like all from one angle, one performance. Some of them are amazing, like the uncut version of Bill in the closet at the make out party, and Nick dancing in the final episode. But don't worry, you will be shocked at how much stuff is on the collector's version. I think it is between eight and nine hours of stuff not including the commentaries."
No word yet on whether this edition will available only to those who signed the DVD petition on the site. Considering that there were over 38,000 signatures, this seems somewhat unmanageable.

Yikes, more than double the price of the regular version after retailer discount. I'm probably going to get it anyways...
The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

Has anyone here noticed that when you try to pre-order the deluxe edition, and you click the checkout button and are ready to put in all your info, the site's URL is "www.shopbootlegs.com...."
Whats with this??

That is very expensive for the Collector's Edition. Since I have never seen the show (but only have heard great things from those who have), I will probably buy the retail version... and live to regret not owning the CE later.

Yeah, that CE is pricey, but it looks pretty cool. I will probably go for it. After all, I am a geek.

Wow, it's probably going to cost me $70 for the yearbook and extras...DDD will probably have the regular set for $50 shipped.
