Friggin' music rights. Ugh.

POWERFUL THE DARKSIDE IS... I caved and bought the Star Wars re-release after saying the whole time that I wouldn't.

Is it any wonder that people are revolting against the music industry?

I wouldn't mind music changes if they'd just release it!

They used a bigger variety of popular music in the second season than they did in the first, which included lots and lots of They Might Be Giants.

Grrr. Release it. Now!

And the They Might Be Giants songs are likely the least of their problems. A lot of TMBG material is band-owned, and since they had such a large role in scoring the show, I would bet that was an easy negotiation.

It figures. Season 2 was the last good year they had. Hope they square things soon.

Derek, I realize how I worded that was pretty bad. I meant that season 1 had mostly TMBG songs while season 2 branched out to include a lot of hit pop songs.

Well, the music issue is unfortunate, but it is also good to know that we're not looking at another MTM situation. I thought the running commentary on the season 1 set was pretty cool, I'd like to see that continue for future releases. I just want this to come out soon.

Woah...just to clear things up, Randy Salas should get the credit for the news. We just used his information (with his permission) for our news items. Randy did all the work...
