With all the Gilligan's Island talk, it made me also want to see the Many Loves of Dobie Gillis with Bob Denver.

Here is another vote for INVADER ZIM.

Brilliant animated show that has accumulated a huge cult following. Nickelodeon would be wise to cash in. Especially since they haven't even aired the remaining episodes in America, and seem to have no intention of doing so...

I would also love to see RIPPING YARNS.

Am I the only one who wants Square Pegs on DVD? I think it would be a fairly simple one-shot release, since the show lasted only a season.

Lots of good things I've wanted have been released on DVD already (BULLWINKLE! STINGRAY! OUTER LIMITS SEASON 2! DANGER MAN!), or are waiting in the wings (SCTV! LOST IN SPACE!), so my long-range TV-on-DVD want list now looks like this:

* WKRP IN CINCINNATI (1978-82, with the original music) Fox
* (Boris Karloff's) THRILLER (1961-62) Universal
* THE FUGITIVE (1963-67) Paramount
* THE WILD WILD WEST (1965-69) Paramount
* THE ADDAMS FAMILY (1964-66) Paramount
* MAVERICK (1957-62) Warner
* RIPPING YARNS (1977-79) BBC/Warner
* POLICE SQUAD! (1982) Paramount
* THE INVADERS (1966-67) Paramount
* DRAGNET (1967-70) Universal
* M-SQUAD (1957-60, Lee Marvin's DRAGNET-ish series) Universal
* THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR (1962-65) Universal
* SUSPICION (1957, short-lived hour suspense anthology series, made by Alfred Hitchcock's company) Universal
* BATMAN (1965-68) Fox
* THE WESTERNER (1960, short-lived Sam Peckinpah series, starring Brian Keith) Paramount
* LAND OF THE GIANTS (1968-70) Fox
* LEAVE IT TO BEAVER (1957-62) Universal
* JONNY QUEST (1964-65) Warner
* THE NEW ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN (1968) Warner
* GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE (1967) Jay Ward Productions
* HOPPITY HOOPER (1964) Jay Ward Productions
* WAY OUT (1961) David Susskind Estate
* ULTRAMAN (1966) Tsuburaya Productions
* SPACE GIANTS (1972) ???
* More BEANY & CECIL Bob Clampett Productions/Image
* More ROGER RAMJET Rhino
* More ERNIE KOVACS (1950s) Edie Adams
* More MST3K (beyond the Nov. '03 set) Rhino
* More GET A LIFE! (1990-92) Rhino
* More ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS (1955-62, and the 4 volumes already released in those badly-thought-out Hitchcock movie box sets re-released individually) Universal
* Classic Commercials (1950s-1970s) on DVD (especially the collected work of Stan Freberg)!

I'd probably rent it for a few minutes of nostalgia, but I can't imagine wanting to purchase it. Sitcoms, to me, just don't have any replay value, and they're all fairly interchangeable.

Love that Waitresses theme song, though.

FYI, Amazon is taking a poll to gauge interest in Boomtown Season DVD sets. Just go to http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...6027826-8400932 or search for Boomtown under DVD, and enter your e-mail address to show your interest.

Martin,

Looks like your in the minority in this thread... Just about everyone here has some form of sitcom written down from Bewitched to Seinfeld... :wink:

Let's see... not in any particular order:

The Six Million Dollar Man
Batman (60's)
The Green Hornet
The entire 60's Spiderman collection (I hear they were/did remaster them)
The Flash (90s)
Get Smart

Probably a few others ...

Oh, I'm well aware that I'm in the minority.

BTW, I have Seinfeld on my list too. That and the Groening shows (Simpsons, Futurama) are the only sitcoms I feel I would watch over and over again.
