Any Early Reviews of CSI:Season Two?

I never watched the show when it originally aired on TV but got absolutely hooked on the show when my wife suggested we pick up the Season One box set. I know Season Two will be in widescreen (anamorphic?) and have more bonus material. Anybody know of any early reviews or know when we might expect them? Thanks.

Reviews will start to appear on Friday.

I just got my screener yesterday, so my review won't make it up by Friday - but maybe by Sunday.

It is anamorphic. Haven't checked the bonus materials, yet.

Scott,
Thanks for the quick response. It was nice of you to confirm that the set will be in anamorphic widescreen. My wife and I eagerly await your review. Thanks again.

Actually, I had never seen the show prior to popping disc one in my player last night. I watch very little network TV, and even less if it's on CBS (nothing against CBS, except the reception I get OTA from my local affiliate is terrible, and Dish Network doesn't carry my locals yet.

Judging from two episodes, it's a good show.
... and a nice looking set.

Anyone know what the OAR is for this? Was it shot in 16:9?

^^^ Yes it was shot in 16:9 from Season One. However, the producers choose to leave it 4:3 for some reason. Its nice that the forthcoming sets are with the OAR.

It has dual ARs so it can be seen in either 1.33:1 or 1.78:1. Both are correct.

Chalking up one hell of an error in judgement IMO.

What really got me was that nearly all reviews of the season one set gave it very high marks [rant]despite the fact that the DVD's were 4:3 when the show was shot at 16:9 for high definition![/rant]

Glad they saw the errors of their ways.
