What will be on the new "Crimes Of Passion" DVD?

I purchased this Kathleen Turner title in an ongoing Anchor Bay sale that several stores have going on. It's bare-bones, but 1:85:1 anamorphic and uncut. Now I get news that Anchor Bay is re-releasing this movie in a Special Edition. My questions are:

1.) What special features will be included?
2.) Will it still have the anamorphic transfer?

I really want to get this. I saw the cover, and it looks hot.

Sincerely,

John "It's a lovely life" Kilduff

This is all I could find. It's from Anchor Bay's website:

16x9, Uncut, Commentary, Deleted Scenes, cc

I purchased a copy of what I thought was the original disc some time ago, years. I still haven't taken the shrinkwrap off. Is this the original Anchor Bay disc? (Bought it some time in 1999, I think.)

And it has anamorphic transfer? (I, for some reason, was under the impression it is letterboxed only--one of the reasons, I think, that I haven't screened it yet.)

Please advise.

(I haven't been buying any DVDs for a while, and I must say I am bewildered at all the stuff that's coming out, or has come out recently. Damn, I am going to spend a lot of money this year. ...)

Jack

The new edition of Crimes of Passion is yet to be released, so what you have is Anchor Bay's original non-anamorphic edition.

It appears that the new edition will include all the features that were included on the SE laser disc version in addition to being a new anamorphic remaster.

According to the box art on Amazon, it'll be "Unrated. Uncensored. Including newly restored never before seen footage". Unless I'm misinterpreting (which is always possible with marketing speak ) then it should contain something beyond the "nightstick" scene that appears on the LD and the other DVD release. Right? I mean that footage has technically been seen before. Amazon is just as vague on the contents of it as the AB website. Hopefully more info will come out before the release date. Cheers.

I wasn't aware that it wasn't anamorphic. Apologies. Hmmm, Anamorphic OAR, deleted scenes...the commentary is what I'm looking forward to! Ken Russell is a lunatic director (and I mean that in the best way possible)...hopefully, it'll be a new commentary.

The deleted scenes included in the SE laser disc were nothing particularly special. They consisted of more domestic scenes with Annie Potts & John Laughlin and a bit more of Bruce Davison.
