Steve McQueen/Jackie Gleason unreleased Warner Bros film

Any word yet on when Soldier In The Rain (1963) will get a first release on DVD??

Is it too late at this point?

Has this ever been mentioned in a Warner chat?

It;s a terrific film and I thought that it might have been released with the Steve MacQueen box a couple of years ago. It was an Allied Artists film and I seem to recall that there were some problems with the quality of the surviving prints. Would have loved to see MacQueen's version of ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE see the light of dvd also.

I would welcome SOLDIER IN THE RAIN and GIGOT on DVD. Different kinds of films, but Gleason does interesting work in both, and gives poignant performances. Today he's known for comedy, but maybe it's time Jackie Gleason is rediscovered as a dramatic actor.
