Could the blu-ray boxset be far behind? I'd be surprised if there wasn't a 4-film boxset at least for DVD by Christmas--would be the perfect chance to put the films on Blu-ray as well. We know they already have the CGI-added HD Raiders ready so maybe they've been anticipating this.

Re: Breaking News: Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (DVD/Blu-ray)

I really didn't get the hate directed at this flick. Disappointment maybe, after all those years of anticipation, but I thought this film was far from bad. Indy 4 is a damn sight more entertaining than the uninspired and clunky "Last Crusade" (and need I say Episode I?).

It was the standard Spielberg film -- action-packed, a family dynamic and a happy ending. Anyone who was expecting the caliber of "Raiders" should've been rightly disappointed.

Single-disc DVD for me.

So no boxart that fits with the first boxset then?

For DVD? Sure. This is already covered in the press release.

I think a lot of people are projecting their frustration with George Lucas onto this film, and will probably do so with every film Lucas is involved with from now on, rightly or not.

Any lapses in taste/judgement will be attributed to Lucas because of the Star Wars Special Editions and Prequels.

I personally feel this was the weakest of the Indy films, but as much as I'd like to, I can't let Spielberg totally off the hook for the film's flaws.

If I do buy this film, it will be when a blu-ray set including the other 3 films is released.
