Disc storage options

I tried to search for this, but came up with very little. There doesn't seem to be an obvious thread for this, so I apologize if this seems out of place.

I am trying to save space by condensing my discs and removing the cases. I need to hold a few hundred discs, preferable in a sturdy, flexible format that allows me to see the face of the disc, and add/insert pages without shifting the whole collection.

This seems like it would have been discussed somewhere, so feel free to point me in the right direction. I'm looking for recommendations.

Re: Disc storage options

Hey David...and Brian!

HERE is a thread on the slimming down of DVD cases...but it also is frequented by posters who have moved their collections into binders.

It is a 33+ page thread...but if you want to skip to the end...take a look at page 25-on. I think you'll get a good idea what people have been up to.

I'm an advocate of using slim cases or ThinPaks to downsize my collection. They take up about half the shelf space of regular size Amaray cases. But there is the expense of $$ (to buy the new cases) and time (to either cut the old coverart to fit the smaller case or scan, manipulate/shrink and print new cover art). There are many different ideas kicked about...so I think you'll get some ideas there.

Good luck!

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!
