CENTURY CITY, Calif. – Hollywood’s original child star will be making audiences S-M-I-L-E when THE SHIRLEY TEMPLE COLLECTION VOLUME 6 charms its way to DVD on the eve of her 80th birthday, April 22nd from Fox Home Entertainment. The collection contains three of America’s sweetheart’s treasured films digitally restored in widescreen presentation: Young People, Stowaway and the John Ford classic Wee Willie Winkie. Continuing to steal hearts everywhere, her timeless films continue to charm and enchant many generations. Showcasing the beloved songs “That’s What I Want For Christmas,” “Fifth Avenue,” and “You Got To S-M-I-L-E,” THE SHIRLEY TEMPLE COLLECTION VOLUME 6 also includes both the black and white restored original as well as an all-new tinted color version of Wee Willie Winkie. THE SHIRLEY TEMPLE COLLECTION VOLUME 6 will be available for the suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S. / $37.48 Canada. Each title will also be available individually, priced at $14.98 U.S. / $16.98 Canada.

Stowaway
In this exciting musical adventure, Shirley Temple sings, dances and speaks fluent Chinese! Ching-Ching (Temple), a child whose guardians are killed in Shanghai, seeks refuge from the streets in a car’s open trunk, only to wake up and find the car on a ship bound for America! The car’s owner (Robert Young), charmed by Ching-Ching, offers to marry another passenger (Alice Faye) in order to give the youngster a proper home. When the two adults meet in divorce court, it’s up to Ching-Ching to keep them together.

Wee Willie Winkie
Shirley Temple stars in John Ford’s superb family action adventure loosely based on Rudyard Kipling’s popular story. Taken by her mother (June Lang) to live in India, a young girl (Temple) gradually wins the heart of her feisty grandfather (C. Aubrey Smith), a colonel at a British army outpost. Before long, she captures the hearts of his entire regiment as well as his chief enemy (Cesar Romero), using her considerable charms to prevent a full-scale war.

Young People
Shirley Temple stars as the orphaned Wendy in her final film with director Allan Dwan. Adopted as an infant by the husband and wife vaudeville team of Joe and Kit Ballantine (Jack Oakie and Charlotte Greenwood), she grows into childhood as a vital part of their act. As she approaches school age, the couple feels that life on the road is not the best thing for Wendy and decide to settle down on a farm in Vermont. However, the local populace openly expresses their doubts about the morality of show business people. When Wendy turns a school play into an impressive vaudeville show, the children's parents are scandalized by its content and call a halt to the show in mid-performance. On their way out of town, the Ballantines rescue a local child in a storm and the grateful town finally learns to accept their colorful neighbors.

Re: TCFHE Press Release: The Shirley Temple Collection Volume 6

I'm assuming the "widescreen presentation" is a typo, as these were academy ratio films.
