TCFHE Press Release: Alien Nation Ultimate Movie Collection

THE FUTURISTIC WORLD WHERE ALIENS AND HUMANS MUST COEXIST

ALIEN NATION
Ultimate Movie Collection

Invasion Of The Long-Awaited Sci-Fi Collection Lands On DVD April 15 From Fox Home Entertainment, Including All Five Post-Series Television Movies

Loaded With All-New Bonus Content Including Commentaries, Cast Reunion, Behind-The-Scenes Featurettes, Gag Reels, Storyboards And More!

CENTURY CITY, Calif. – A must-own collection for Newcomer-fans and series’ newcomers alike, the Alien Nation: Ultimate Movie Collection debuts on DVD April 15 from Fox Home Entertainment. Continuing where the original television series left off, the Alien Nation: Ultimate Movie Collection includes all-five suspenseful, sci-fi movies for the first time on DVD. Nominated for a combined three Emmy® Awards*, the films follow the continuing action-packed adventures of Los Angeles police detective Matt Sikes (Gary Graham, “Supernatural”) and his partner George Francisco (Eric Pierpoint, “Enterprise”), an alien fugitive slave who must, along with his brethren, struggle to assimilate into life on his adopted planet Earth, without sacrificing his own cultural identity. Providing stunning revelations to unanswered questions from the original television series, Alien Nation: Ultimate Movie Collection kicks off with Alien Nation: Dark Horizons, when the fate of the entire planet is on the line as a Purist group develops a virus designed to kill all Newcomers. Alien Nation: Body and Soul follows, as the detectives investigate the compelling case of a mysterious girl who appears to be the first human-alien hybrid. When a deadly cult, promising instant spiritual fulfillment but delivering something far more sinister, emerges in Alien Nation: Millennium it’s up to Sikes and Francisco to uncover the startling truth. In Alien Nation: The Enemy Within, George must come to terms with his own prejudices while investigating the mysterious death of a member of a reviled caste of alien waste-eaters as Matt experiences culture shock when deciding to move in with his Newcomer love interest. A strange form of post-hypnotic suggestion causes law-abiding Newcomers to commit violent crimes in the final installment, Alien Nation: The Udara Legacy, as Matt and George must uncover the brainwashing secrets dating back to an alien rebellion group. Featuring an abundance of bonus materials including commentary for each film by director and co-creator Kenneth Johnson (“The Incredible Hulk,” “The Bionic Woman”), featurettes, gag reels, storyboards and photo galleries, the Alien Nation: Ultimate Movie Collection will be available on DVD for the suggested retail price of $49.98 U.S. / $69.98 Canada. Pre-book is March 19.

Re: TCFHE Press Release: Alien Nation Ultimate Movie Collection

I know this set is only supposed to be inclusive of the made-for-TV movies but still I can't help thinking it odd that something called "Alien Nation: Ultimate Movie Collection" doesn't actually include the movie Alien Nation.

Is that exactly six months after it appeared at Best Buy?

Jay's Movie Blog - A movie-viewing diary.
Transplanted Life: Sci-fi soap opera about a man placed in a new body, updated two or three times a week.
Trading Post Inn - Another gender-bending soap, with different collaborators writing different points of view.

"What? Since when was this an energy ball movie?" - Overheard during a screening of Takashi Miike's Dead Or Alive
"What the hell religion are you people?" - Overheard during the Captain Marvel serial at SF/29
"If I feel even one bullet hit me, I will rip your lungs out through your nostrils!" - Ron Silver as himself, "Heat Vision And Jack"

Re: TCFHE Press Release: Alien Nation Ultimate Movie Collection

Best Buy was supposed to have a two or three month window, so it's actually much longer than planned.

More double-sided nightmares....
