Culver City, CA (1/14/08) – The bats are back to suck you dry in the bone-chilling creature feature, BATS HUMAN HARVEST, on DVD March 11, 2008 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for the SLP of $24.96. This terrifying sequel to BATS introduces bats that are bio-engineered killing machines, bred for maximum flesh ripping; the DVD includes two deleted scenes. Tomas Arana (Bourne Supremacy, Gladiator), David Chokachi (TV’s “Baywatch”) and Michael Jace (TV’s “The Shield”, Gridiron Gang) star as soldiers on the hunt for a terrorist in a dizzying maze of caves. The hunt quickly descends into a nocturnal nightmare as the bats unleash a bloody fury on the unwitting soldiers, turning their mission into a thrilling fight for survival.
Synopsis
On a routine mission in Iraq the U.S Marine Corps recovers a computer hard drive detailing the location of certain weapons specialist Dr. Walsh. After witnessing the termination of his top secret weapons development program, Dr. Walsh finds an alternative funding source and sets up a new research facility deep in the notorious Belzan forest of Chechnya. Led by the physically imposing and intense Russo, a team of Deltas is ordered on a black ops mission to retrieve the doctor and his technology before the Russians find him and his lab. What Russo and his team soon discover is that the doctor's latest weapon is a flock of large carnivorous bats and that the doctor is using the marines as test subjects in his nightmarish experiments.
BATS HUMAN HARVEST is directed by Jamie Dixon (Shadow Builder), written by Brett Merriman, produced by Jeffery Beach (Lake Placid 2) and stars Tomas Arana, David Chokachi and Michael Jace.
