New Jack City - Is the SE a better transfer?

I have the old double-sided disc release, and I don't think it looks that great on my HDTV. I was wondering if the 2-disc SE is a new transfer. I don't see it being released in HD anytime in the near future, so I thought maybe I good get a little improvment from the SE.

Yes, it is a new master, and doesn't look shabby at all.
