WB Noir in Region 2?

Anyone got any idea why the noir sets haven't come out in the UK or in region 2 at all? Seems a bit odd when most if not all of the signature sets have been, and when Fox are selling their noir titles over here. I've got a multiregion player so could always import them but i'm just curious...

Jamie

Some of the Warner titles belong to RKO and the rights rest with Universal in R2 UK (who have released Double Indemnity which is more than can be said for R1), while Fox has released a handful of the noir titles in their 'Studio Classics' range in R2, see here.

Has anyone watched the Region 2 version Thieves Highway? It has also been released in Australia for around AUD$23, I'm wondering/hoping it's the Criterion transfer, but (unfortunately) without the extras.

Two other French editors: Carlotta and Wild Side
released a few films noir. Some of them are available
in region 1 but others are still unreleased I suppose.

This is a full list of RKO releases by Editions Montparnasse in France:

It can be challenging, at times, to find out an original title. I use http://dvdfr.com/index.php for title and subtitles information. French Wild Side editions have forced French subtitles which can be a nuisance. Editions Montparnasse have removable French subtitles.
